3 Timeless & Trendy Design Elements

I am a HUGE believer in timeless design over trendy design. With that said, there have been a few trends that I’ve adopted over the last 8 years that like to incorporate into client designs. These “trends” still fit into an overall timeless design but also allow me to evolve as a designer and ensure that my clients are getting the highest quality work. And let’s not forget that the very reason for starting this design company was to merge seemingly opposite worlds so I am all for the duality that exists in each corner of life.

Trend #1: Minimalist Design

Minimalism focuses on clean layouts, ample white space, and simple typography to enhance readability and user experience. This has been my goal since day one because the internet is noisy and your website should be a haven. I am a big believer that standing out does not just mean bright colors or bold fonts. While these elements have their very rightful places in some brands, it’s actually the spaces in between that speak the loudest. The breathing room is what lets your bigger message sink in as people are getting to know you.

Trend #2: Subtle Animations

Mini animations and interactions, like button hover effects or scrolling animations, engage users without adding too much noise or chaotic movements. Even the smallest animations go a long way to make a website feel more alive. Movement captures our attention, no doubt, but again, it’s not about the biggest or flashiest movements, it’s about the subtleness in how some movements just add an extra element without having to overtake a design.

Trend #3: Asymmetrical Layouts

Breaking away from traditional grid structures, asymmetrical layouts create dynamic and unique designs with the layout of content and photos. I love creating off centered photos in varying sizes to capture the eyes of potential clients and breathe personality into the design. Asymmetry is seen a lot in design, not just web design or branding, but also interior design and if you know me, you know I’m basically a wanna be interior designer as I’ve been slowly bringing our fixer upper home to life over the years.

It’s an exciting time to bring your vision to life and create the brand and business that you’ve been dreaming of. Reach out anytime and we can discuss how to get your project started!
