3 Ways to Wow Your Clients Online

When it comes to wowing your clients, you may have found it to be a natural part of your in-person services. Perhaps your office or studio has calming paint colors, organized books or equipment, and soft, comfortable waiting chairs. But now that we’re well into this new version of life in which you’re continuing to offer more virtual services, have you poured the same love and attention into your online business as you did your office or studio space? If you’re unsure of how to create an impactful client experience online, here are a few options:

1. Your Brand

Make sure your online brand (your logo, colors, fonts, website and social media presence) has a similar vibe as your office or studio whenever possible. These elements should all feel familiar to your clientele and match the quality of your services. If you have a beautifully curated in-person space, your online spaces should be just as memorable. If this feels way out of your wheelhouse (and that’s okay!), it might be time to hire a professional designer to help you elevate your existing brand.

2. Client Journey

This is how a client moves through your online services or sessions from start to finish. It’s every little detail that happens along the way from their very first inquiry to the finished service or session (and a bit beyond). If you haven’t done so yet, I suggest writing out the entire process of what it’s like to work with you. Remember things like sending a welcome email, or knowing when to follow up after a service. Being crystal clear on your entire process (aka the client journey) is going to take a lot of the overwhelm out of the equation.

3. Ongoing Engagement

If you’re in the mental health or alternative therapy space, it’s going to be important to keep in close communication with your community. A few ways to help your clientele stay connected:

+ Use photos of your actual space as posts on social media. Keep your clients familiar with your physical space. Take them back to that feeling of being in a treatment room or stepping into your office.

+ Send a regular newsletter with reminders of upcoming events or appointment availability. Just because you’re posting these things on social media doesn’t mean that everyone sees it so be sure to have multiple touch points.

+ Toss in some photos (or video) of yourself. You’re a trusted professional to your clients and it’s so nice for them to get to see your face once in a while, even if you don’t think the photo is perfect. Trust me, this personal touch is important, especially if they’re not getting to see you IRL right now.
